WELCOMETOTHECOMMUNE.
Marsy Robinson is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Television Academy, and Women in Animation. She spent over 15 years in the music industry working for Columbia Records in A&R, SFX/Live Nation in concert promotion, and MTV in special events before moving to Los Angeles to expand into television, development, and production.
Marsy’s desire to work in development and as a creative producer took shape during her time on the original Will & Grace, where she worked alongside the series’ showrunner. She later spent several years in NBC/Universal’s development department, devising projects and gaining a deeper understanding of how stories move from idea to screen.
She went on to produce across acclaimed comedy, scripted television, pilots, streaming series, and development slates. Her credits include work as a producer on the Emmy-nominated series 2 Broke Girls for CBS and The Comeback for HBO. She later served as Co-Producer for the Netflix/WB scripted series A.J. and the Queen, along with various pilots under WB for Amazon, Netflix, HBOMax, and CBS.
Most recently, Marsy served as Supervising Producer for the next chapter of Sex and the City for HBOMax, And Just Like That... She is also the creator and writer/producer of the highly anticipated animated series and metaverse project, The AdVentures of Hoop and Pep!
Through The Commune Entertainment, Marsy brings care, tenacity, and collaboration to the creative process, welcoming strong creative minds into a non-hierarchical environment built to develop, produce, manage, and sell female-forward projects across genres.
